ABOUT US

We have moved from the big city to the country and we are enjoying our little slice of paradise! I grew up in the country so it is so rewarding getting back to it after so many years. My husband has always been a city dweller but he has taken to it quite remarkably! I was a little surprised how well he has adapted!

We are hopining one day to become self sufficient here. It is definetly a work in progress and we are continuosly learning and exploring new ideas to take us down that path. It is a very exciting process! We are currently collecting rain (what little we have) and that has been helping to sustain our perimeter plantings. We hope to expand on it as well. We feed our pet chickens organic food and they provide us with delicious eggs. We have been line drying our laundry and when you have that fresh line dried towel wrapped around you there is something about it, it just takes you back to a simpler time and that is what we are trying to do. Like I said we are a work in progress! Time, energy, and of course money somehow seems to make it a slower process!
